Yo Gabba Gabba! is an American children's television show that airs on the Nick Jr. cable network in the United States and the Nick Jr. networks in the United Kingdom & Ireland, Italy, France and Australia as well as Treehouse TV network in Canada and RTE2 on RTÉjr in Ireland. The show stars five costumed toys-come-to-life and their friend DJ Lance Rock, who explore a single topic in each episode through songs and short storylines in the half-hour program while teaching children life and social skills. It also encourages viewers to move along with and dance with the characters in the program. The show is noted for its indie-culture guest stars and bands, and for drawing visual inspiration from 8-bit video games and H. R. Pufnstuff.

In Yo Gabba Gabba's Halloween!, excitement abounds as the characters dress up in outrageous costumes and gather private stashes of candy. Through 'The Fall Song,' 'Halloween Party Song,' and 'Trick or Treat Song' the characters learn what happens on Halloween, and just as important, the song 'Too Much Candy' helps the characters to understand eating candy in moderation. Geeky school kid Andy dreams of being a great inventor, but he’s having trouble coming up with a “big idea” that will win the science fair and beat scheming twins, April and May. Even worse, his dad is pressuring him into joining the football team -- that he just happens to coach and of which his big brother just happens to be the star. Andy decides to ask the town’s resident scientist, Dr. Frankenstein, for advice, but on a visit to his creepy mansion, he instead meets a green football-loving teenage monster named Frank, who wishes he could join in the way Andy can. Excitedly, Andy realizes that he and Frank may just be able to solve each other’s troubles by switching places, and his plan goes smoothly, until suddenly they’ve got a monster problem on their hands that threatens the entire town.
